Episode Summary

I know I’m supposed to be away until the 30th, but Trump’s earlier post today on Truth Social may have changed the course of history for America! I discuss it in this 10-minute emergency minisode.

Donald Trump’s latest outburst, stating “a whole civilisation will die tonight” if Iran doesn’t “make a deal,” is a violation of the 1948 Genocide Convention (Article III, c), which states “direct and public incitement to commit genocide” is a punishable act, regardless of whether the genocide actually takes place.

Latest AI chaos and Iran’s threats may burst the bubble much sooner

Episode Summary

What a 24-hour news storm! The leak of over 500,000 lines of code from Anthropic has sent shockwaves through the AI community, revealing the tightly controlled nature of AI models.

This leak reaffirms what many in my position have called out for years: AI isn’t an autonomous, intelligent entity but rather a sophisticated script controlled by developers.

The illusion of AI’s intelligence is shattered, showing that these models are puppets, responding to coded prompts rather than possessing true intelligence.

Meanwhile, legal challenges against Meta and YouTube are gaining momentum, recognising the addictive nature of their algorithms.

These platforms have been designed to maximise user engagement, often at the expense of mental health, especially among young users.

The potential reform of Section 230 could hold these companies accountable for the harm caused by their algorithms, indicating a shift towards greater responsibility in the tech industry.

Adding to the complexity, Iran’s threats to US tech firms highlight the broader implications of AI in global conflicts, where AI algorithms are allegedly being used to identify targets, as I discussed in one of my recent episodes.

Join the conversation now as I explore the possible path to the inevitable AI bubble burst.

AI’s Deadly Deployment in the Iran War that Killed School Girls

Episode supported by

Episode Summary

The Iran war marks the beginning of the era of widespread use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and large language models (LLMs) as key tools for military targeting.

The tragic strike on the Shajareh Tayyebeh Girls School, resulting in the loss of over 160 children, underscores the risks of relying on AI for targeting decisions without strict human intervention.

AI’s role in warfare often fails to deliver safe or judgment-based outcomes due to its overreliance on outdated data, lack of human oversight, and disregard for ethical boundaries. The very picture we see today!

But I also discuss the broader risks of AI misuse that extend beyond Iran, posing threats in conflict zones and authoritarian regimes worldwide.

This is the reason I and many others have been calling for strict legal enforcement of AI deployment, ensuring transparency, and recognising AI as a tool that magnifies human intent, not a life-death decision-maker.

Episode Summary

In this live replay, I’m examining the AI-driven hype of today and how we’re being pushed towards a crisis. It’s a bit scary, but it’s something we need to talk about.

Right now, we’re facing a double whammy: water bankruptcy and an AI bubble spiralling out of control. Not to mention, a disturbing new report shows a record number of journalists killed in 2025, with Israel responsible for two-thirds of deaths.

Let me break it down for you. Water bankruptcy—what’s that all about? Imagine living in a world where clean water is so scarce that it becomes a luxury product or a subscription-based commodity. Sounds dramatic?

Well, according to a recent UN report, many places are already using more water than they can replenish. It’s like living on a water credit card with no way to pay it back. And it’s not just happening in far-off places; even countries like the US and the UK are feeling the heat. Hence, I question the current obsession with building more data centres, i.e., the new frontier of the deranged AI bubble.

However, these massive facilities need vast amounts of water to keep cool, and it’s draining our resources faster than you can say “AI.” And, speaking of AI, February marked the most unhinged AI moment yet, in my view. The same old ideas are still being driven by science fiction rather than science fact.

Come on, sending data centres to space and making AI accessible to every single person on the planet? Meanwhile, these projects are consuming water and energy at an alarming rate, putting our environment at risk.

Our planet’s health is on the line, and it’s up to us to make sure we’re not just along for the ride. Join the conversation now.
